WEITE Exports Windlass Weighing System to Southeast Asian Machinery Giant

Recently, WEITE's Windlass Weighing System has been delivered and put into use at a large deck machinery manufacturing enterprise in Southeast Asia.

In previous cooperation, the customer highly recognized the stable performance of WEITE's products, and based on the actual needs of its own operation scenarios, put forward requirements for "high monitoring accuracy, strong environmental adaptability, and intelligent data management", hoping to further address the challenges of safety management and efficiency improvement under complex working conditions.In response to this demand, WEITE's technical team conducted a comprehensive iterative optimization of the windlass weighing system and successfully secured this cooperation. After the project was delivered, the customer specially sent a message to praise: "WEITE is awesome!"

In complex scenarios such as ship anchoring and maritime construction, traditional windlass operation has long relied on manual experience for judgment, which suffers from industry pain points like inaccurate load monitoring and delayed safety early warning. These issues not only affect operation efficiency but also are more likely to cause equipment damage and even safety accidents.

The customized windlass weighing system provided by WEITE boasts three core advantages: "high precision, high reliability, and intelligence". Equipped with WS-ZX pin shaft sensors and tension meters, the system can accurately capture dynamic load changes of anchor cables and maintain stable operation even in extreme temperature and high humidity environments. With a protection level reaching IP68 standard, it can withstand severe challenges such as seawater corrosion and mechanical impact, and is fully adaptable to the complex environment of maritime operations.

In terms of functional design, the system has achieved three major innovations:

Real-Time Monitoring & Dual-Mode Viewing

It supports intuitive display on an 8-inch LCD screen and enables remote data synchronization via the central control cab, allowing operators to quickly obtain key information such as load weight and anchor cable length.

Intelligent Early Warning & Automatic Response

When the load exceeds the safety threshold, the system will automatically issue an alarm and link with the ship’s electronic control system to realize automatic windlass retraction and deployment, minimizing the risks of manual operation.

Data Traceability & Analysis

It supports functions such as cumulative load recording and operation time statistics, providing data support for equipment maintenance and operation optimization, and perfectly meeting the enterprise’s IoT intelligence requirements.
