System Overview

The cranes used on ofshore platforms are the only equipment for loading and unloading goods on the ofshoreplatforms and hoisting personnel up and down the platforms. They are one of the most important production and safetyequipment in ofshore oil production, and have very high requirements for safety reliability, maintainabiity, wind resistanceand corrosion resistance. lt is necessary to strictly monitor the intelligence and life cycle of the equipment and conductdata analysis to keep the equipment in the best condition at all times.

The intelligent system of the crane uses an industrial-grade computer for data processing and realizes remoteoperation based on wired or 5G wireless communication transmission means; the optical fiber sensing method is used tomonitor the operation status of the equipment in realtime. various working parameters of the crane (weight signal, anglesignal, video signal), main structure stress, cracks, stress and other data are detected by corresponding sensors, andafter signal processing, they are sent to the industrial computer for data processing and Al algorithm; judge the usagestatus of the crane and evaluate the life cvcle to prevent potential safety hazards ofthe equipment.

Remote operation of the crane

The operation instructions are given by the driver in the remote operation room.After being encoded into digital signals, these instructions are sent to the cranecontrol system through the optical fiber transmission system. Then, the controsystem sends the control signals to the actuators of the crane, preciselycompleting the actions issued by the remote operation.

During the entire operation process, the safety system will continuously receivesensor data from various parts of the crane, and conduct real-time analysis andprocessing of this data. Once any abnormal situation is detected,the contro system will immediately issue an alarm and take corresponding protective measures to ensure the safety of the crane and the operators.
